Coaching Toolkit
Life Coaching

I chose to train and gain my diploma in life coaching with Achievement Specialists, because it is important to me that my clients have a coach who is professionally qualified and dedicated to what they do. I work within a non-directional model of coaching so that I can truly be in the service of the client’s coaching agenda, not mine. Since starting my practice I have noticed that once a prospective client contacts me that they have already committed to making the changes they want in their lives and that they want that change right now. Coaching is a process that accelerates positive change, that is greater enhanced when married with other tools, such as Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Emotional Freedom Technique. Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

NLP is a dynamic process used to enhance our communication with others and ourselves. It brings us more understanding of how the mind works. As each one of us is unique, our map of the world varies from the next person. Our map is of how we have experience the world and learned how we respond to it. The creators of NLP Richard Bandler, a mathematician and John Grinder a linguist, worked together to model human excellence. Through studying excellence, they formulated many mind mapping techniques that we can all use to improve our performance in our personal and professional lives.

These techniques are widely used in business to create peak performance in areas such as management, sales, communication, new produce development and coaching. They can be used in many areas, including education health and sport.

In a personal context, NLP is also a powerful tool for clients. It can be used to break negative patterns, smoking cessation, weight loss, building confidence and self esteem and many barriers that limit our potential to achieve what we wish to achieve for ourselves.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Life Coaching

When a client chooses to invest in life coaching, they are investing their coaches commitment to them. My commitment to my clients is that I have developed and will continue to develop an effective toolkit to enable my clients to get what they want from life. This is why I have trained in NLP (link) and EFT. Many of my clients found that these techniques can be hugely beneficial in faciliting the changes they wish for themselves.

I trained in Emotional Freedom Technique because I had experience it for myself and it worked. I then decided that it was something I should share with my clients and they could benefit from it if they chose to. It doesn’t form part of a coaching session, however EFT is an effective tool in moving clients past issues that are holding them back. Where a client is experiencing a continued block to progress I will offer EFT as a tool to move the client quickly on to experience the continued benefits of coaching.
